Objective To study the clinical application value of positive psychological intervention based on positive psychology theory in knee osteoarthritis(KOA).Methods A total of 76 KOA patients treated at the Marine Corps Hospital from February 2021 to February 2023 were included as research subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group(38 cases)receiving routine nursing care and a study group(38 cases)receiving routine nursing care combined with positive psychological intervention. The Chinese version of the Psychological Resilience Scale,Symptom Checklist-90(SCL-90),and Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire were used to evaluate the psychological resilience level, mental health level, and coping style of the two groups before and after the intervention.Nursing satisfaction was also compared between the two groups. Results After the intervention, the scores of optimism, strength, tenacity dimensions, and the total score of the Psychological Resilience Scale in both groups were higher than before the intervention, and the scores in the study group were higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).After the intervention, the SCL-90 scores in both groups were lower than before the intervention, and the scores in the study group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).After the intervention, the positive coping scores in both groups were higher than before the intervention, and the negative coping scores were lower than before the intervention. The positive coping scores in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the negative coping scores were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction rate in the study group was higher than that in the control group after the intervention, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion Positive psychological intervention based on positive psychology theory can effectively improve the psychological resilience and mental health level of KOA patients, induce them to adopt positive coping styles to face problems, and ensure the quality of nursing care.
