Study on the Impact of Family-Centered Nursing Model on Patients Undergoing First Chemotherapy for Lung Cancer
Objective To explore the impact of a family-centered nursing model on the psychological state, quality of life, and satisfaction with medical care of patients undergoing first chemotherapy for lung cancer,in order to provide a reference for future clinical nursing plans. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 62 patients undergoing first chemotherapy for lung cancer admitted to Luoyang Yilu Hospital from January 2022 to January 2023.They were divided into a control group and an observation group based on different nursing models, with 31 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing care, while the observation group received family-centered nursing care. The psychological state[Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS),Chinese Perceived Stress Scale(CPSS)],quality of life[Quality of Life Questionnaire(QLQ-C30)],and satisfaction with medical care[assessed using the Satisfaction with Cancer Care Scale(SCA)]were compared between the two groups before and after nursing. Results After nursing, the psychological state scores of both groups were lower than before nursing, and the quality of life scores were higher than before nursing, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The SAS,SDS,and CPSS scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group after nursing, and the quality of life and SCA scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion Family-centered nursing care for patients undergoing first chemotherapy for lung cancer can effectively improve their negative psychological state, enhance their quality of life, and increase their satisfaction with medical care, showing good clinical application prospects.
