Observation on the Effect of Perioperative Operating Room Nursing Intervention in Preventing Postoperative Infection in Joint Replacement Surgery
Objective To analyze the effect of operating room nursing intervention in preventing postoperative infection during the perioperative period of joint replacement surgery. Methods A total of 180 patients who underwent joint replacement surgery at Henan Provincial People's Hospital from January 2022 to January 2023 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into a control group and a study group according to the random sampling method(odd numbers in the control group, even numbers in the study group),with 90 cases in each group. The control group received routine operating room nursing, while the study group received optimized operating room nursing intervention. The postoperative infection rate, pain scores at various postoperative stages, and pre-and post-nursing 36-item Short-Form(SF-36)were compared between the two groups. Results The postoperative infection rate in the study group(2.22%)was lower than that in the control group(10.00%),with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The pain scores at 6 hours,12 hours, and 48 hours postoperatively in the study group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in SF-36 scores between the two groups before nursing(P>0.05).After nursing, the scores in the eight dimensions of physical function, mental health, social function, and overall health in both groups were higher than before treatment, and the scores in the study group were higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of operating room nursing intervention in patients undergoing joint replacement surgery can reduce the incidence of postoperative infection, alleviate postoperative pain, and improve the quality of life of patients, making it worthy of application.
