Observation of the Effects of L-Carnitine Combined with High-Flux Hemodialysis on Blood Routine,Nutritional Indicators, and Renal Function in Uremic Patients
Objective To observe the effect of L-Carnitine combined with high-flux hemodialysis(HFD)in the treatment of uremic patients. Methods From December 2021 to December 2023,92 uremic patients admitted to Qixia District Hospital were selected for retrospective analysis. They were divided into control group(only HFD,n=46)and study group(HFD combined with L-Carnitine,n=46)based on whether they received L-Carnitine treatment.Changes in blood routine, nutritional indicators, and renal function were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, hemoglobin(Hb),hematocrit(Hct),albumin(Alb),and ferritin(Fer)levels in both groups were higher than before treatment, with the study group being significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05).Parathyroid hormone(PTH),uric acid(UA),creatinine(Cr),and blood urea nitrogen(BUN)levels in both groups were lower than before treatment, with the study group being significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of HFD and L-Carnitine in the treatment of uremic patients can improve metabolic and micro-inflammatory states, delay the decline of residual renal function, improve anemia and nutritional issues, and enhance patients'quality of life, demonstrating good application value.
