Efficacy and S afety of Xingnaojing Combined with Mild Hypothermia in the Treatment of Severe Cerebral Hemorrhage
Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of Xingnaojing combined with mild hypothermia in the treatment of severe cerebral hemorrhage. Methods Sixty-five patients with severe cerebral hemorrhage admitted to Neihuang County People's Hospital from January 2020 to January 2022 were selected and randomly divided into a study group(n=32,treated with Xingnaojing combined with mild hypothermia)and a control group(n=33,treated with mild hypothermia). The clinical efficacy, neurological function, volumes of cerebral hematoma and cerebral edema, cognitive function, activities of daily living, and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The effective rate of treatment in the study group(93.75%)was higher than that in the control group(75.76%),with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).After treatment, the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)scores in both groups decreased, with the study group scoring lower than the control group, showing statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The volumes of cerebral hematoma and cerebral edema in both groups decreased after treatment, with the study group showing smaller volumes than the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The Mini-Mental State Examination(MMSE)and Activities of Daily Living(ADL)scores in both groups increased after treatment, with the study group scoring higher than the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the study group(12.50%)and the control group(15.15%)(P>0.05).Conclusion The application of Xingnaojing combined with mild hypothermia in patients with severe cerebral hemorrhage can improve clinical efficacy, enhance neurological function, reduce the volumes of cerebral hematoma and cerebral edema, improve cognitive function and activities of daily living, and has high safety.
