Clinical Efficacy of Reduning Injection Combined with Cefotaxime Sodium in the Treatment of Acute Upper Respiratory Tract Infection in Children
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of Reduning Injection combined with cefotaxime sodium in the treatment of acute upper respiratory tract infection in children. Methods Ninety-four children with acute upper respiratory tract infection treated at Taiqian County People's Hospital from December 2020 to December 2022 were selected and randomly divided into a control group(treated with cefotaxime sodium)and an observation group(treated with cefotaxime sodium combined with Reduning Injection),with 47 cases in each group. The symptom improvement time, treatment efficacy, levels of inflammatory factors, immune function, and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The observation group had shorter fever reduction time, cough disappearance time, nasal congestion disappearance time, and sore throat disappearance time compared to the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The treatment efficacy in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),serum amyloid A(SAA),procalcitonin(PCT),and tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α)in both groups decreased, with the observation group showing lower levels than the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of CD8+decreased,while the levels of CD3+,CD4+,and CD4+/CD8+increased in both groups, with the observation group showing lower CD8+levels and higher CD3+,CD4+,and CD4+/CD8+levels than the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of Reduning Injection and cefotaxime sodium in the treatment of acute upper respiratory tract infection in children can reduce the levels of inflammatory factors, improve immune function, reduce the incidence of adverse reactions, and promote recovery.
