The Impact of Systematic Nursing Intervention Based on Diffusion of Innovations Theory on Patients with Cataract and Glaucoma
Objective To comprehensively evaluate the impact of systematic nursing intervention based on the diffusion of innovations theory on the level of hope and quality of life in patients with cataract and glaucoma.Methods The study selected 85 patients with cataract and glaucoma admitted to Puyang Second People's Hospital from October 2023 to March 2024.They were randomly divided into a control group(42 cases)and an observation group(43 cases).The control group received routine care,while the observation group received routine care plus systematic nursing intervention based on the diffusion of innovations theory.The Herth hope index(HHI),General quality of life inventory(GQOLI-74),intraocular pressure,best-corrected visual acuity(BCVA),and complications were compared between the two groups before and after the intervention.Results Before the intervention,there were no statistically significant differences in the scores of HHI and GQOLI-74 dimensions between the two groups(P＞0.05).After the intervention,the scores of HHI and GQOLI-74 dimensions in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).Before the intervention,there were no statistically significant differences in intraocular pressure and BCVA between the two groups(P＞0.05).After the intervention,the intraocular pressure in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,and the BCVA level was higher than that in the control group,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group(4.65%)was lower than that in the control group(21.43%),with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).Conclusion The systematic nursing intervention based on the diffusion of innovations theory has a considerable effect on patients with cataract and glaucoma.It can improve the level of hope and quality of life of patients,effectively prevent complications,enhance the efficacy,and improve the overall prognosis.
