Case Study on Ideological and Political Education in the"Internal Medicine"Course for Higher Vocational Clinical Medicine Majors:Taking"Digestive Diseases"as an Example
Objective To explore the case study of ideological and political education in the"Internal Medicine"course for higher vocational clinical medicine majors.Methods The study period was from September 2020 to June 2023.A total of 450 students from different classes of the 2020 clinical medicine major at Changde Vocational Technical College were selected and divided into two groups.The observation group(n=225)implemented ideological and political education in the"Internal Medicine"course,while the control group(n=225)adopted traditional teaching methods.The exam scores of the two groups were compared,and a questionnaire survey was used to evaluate the satisfaction with the teaching model and the effect of ideological and political education in the classroom.Results The regular scores,final assessment scores,and total scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The students in the observation group had higher satisfaction with the teaching design,academic performance,teaching methods,and the ideological and political effects in terms of professional identity,social responsibility,and patriotism compared to the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion Integrating ideological and political elements into the"Internal Medicine"course for higher vocational clinical medicine majors can effectively improve students'learning outcomes and satisfaction with the teaching model.This provides new ideas and methods for higher vocational medical education and helps cultivate medical talents with a high sense of social responsibility and patriotism.
