Value of Combined Routine Blood Tests and Blood Glucose Tests for Early Prediction of Gestational Diabetes
Objective To investigate the value of combined routine blood tests and blood glucose tests in the early prediction of gestational diabetes. Methods A total of 80 pregnant women who underwent an oral glucose tolerance test at Luoyang Peony Hospital from January 2021 to December 2022 were selected.Based on the results of the glucose tolerance test, the participants were divided into a normal blood glucose group(50 cases)and a gestational diabetes group(30 cases). The routine blood test results(platelet count, red blood cell count, hemoglobin)and blood glucose levels(fasting blood glucose,2-hour postprandial blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin)were compared between the two groups. Results The routine blood test levels and blood glucose levels in the gestational diabetes group were significantly higher than those in the normal blood glucose group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion Patients with gestational diabetes exhibit significant changes in routine blood tests and blood glucose levels. Therefore, testing the routine blood and blood glucose levels of pregnant women is beneficial for the screening of gestational diabetes.
