Analysis of the Clinical Value of Electrocardiogram in Predicting the Severity and Prognosis of Acute Occlusion of the Left Circumflex Coronary Artery
Objective To analyze the clinical value of electrocardiogram(ECG)in predicting the severity and prognosis of acute occlusion of the left circumflex coronary artery. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 96 patients with acute occlusion of the left circumflex coronary artery admitted to Nanyang Central Hospital from January 2022 to December 2023.Based on different ECG changes, patients were divided into three groups:ST-D group,ST-E group, and N-ST group, with 32 cases in each group.Clinical data(gender, age, medical history, troponin Ⅰ(Tn Ⅰ),creatine kinase(CK)),coronary angiography results, myocardial infarction area, and the occurrence of adverse cardiovascular events were compared among the groups. Results No significant differences were found in gender, age,or medical history among the three groups(P>0.05).The levels of Tn Ⅰ and CK in the ST-E group were higher than those in the ST-D and N-ST groups, with the N-ST group having the lowest levels, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The proximal and distal circumflex branches in the N-ST group were lower than those in the ST-E and ST-D groups, and the distal circumflex branch in the ST-D group was lower than that in the ST-E group. The obtuse marginal branch and collateral circulation in the N-ST group were higher than those in the ST-E and ST-D groups, with significant differences(P<0.05).However,there were no significant differences in the proximal circumflex branch, obtuse marginal branch, and collateral circulation between the ST-E and ST-D groups(P>0.05).Regarding the area of myocardial infarction and the occurrence of adverse cardiovascular events, the N-ST group had a smaller myocardial infarction area compared to the ST-D and ST-E groups, with significant differences(P<0.05).No significant differences were found in the risk of adverse cardiovascular events among the three groups(P>0.05).Conclusion By analyzing the characteristics of the ECG,healthcare professionals can more accurately assess the severity of the patient's condition and predict the risk of potential complications, providing targeted guidance for clinical treatment.
