Application of Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction Combined with Stage-specific Detailed Nursing in Patients Undergoing Laparoscopic Surgery for Uterine Myoma
Objective To investigate the effects of mindfulness-based stress reduction combined with stage-specific detailed nursing in patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery for uterine myoma(UF).Methods A total of 124 patients with UF who underwent laparoscopic surgery at Zhoukou Central Hospital from March 2020 to December 2022 were selected and randomly assigned to an intervention group(n=62,mindfulness-based stress reduction combined with stage-specific detailed nursing intervention)and a control group(n=62,routine nursing intervention).Postoperative recovery, psychological status, quality of life, and incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results The intervention group had significantly shorter times for first getting out of bed, eating, passing gas, returning to bowel sounds, and having a bowel movement compared to the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, scores on the Beck Anxiety Inventory(BAI)and Beck Depression Inventory(BDI-Ⅱ)decreased in both groups, with the intervention group showing lower BAI and BDI-Ⅱ scores than the control group(P<0.05).Post-intervention,scores on the World Health Organization Quality of Life-BREF(WHOQOL-BREF)increased in both groups, with significant differences(P<0.05),and the intervention group had higher WHOQOL-BREF scores than the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the intervention group(4.84%)was lower than that in the control group(16.13%),with a significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion Mindfulness-based stress reduction combined with stage-specific detailed nursing for patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery for UF can promote postoperative recovery, improve psychological status, enhance quality of life, and reduce the incidence of complications.
