The Impact of Supportive Psychotherapeutic Nursing Combined with Empathetic Care on Inpatients with Bipolar Affective Disorder
Objective To explore the effects of supportive psychotherapeutic nursing combined with empathetic care on the psychological status,social support,and cognitive function of inpatients with Bipolar Affective Disorder(BAD).Methods A total of 96 hospitalized patients with BAD who received treatment at the Second People's Hospital of Zhumadian from April 2021 to August 2022 were selected.They were randomly divided into an intervention group(n=48,supportive psychotherapeutic nursing combined with empathetic care)and a control group(n=48,routine nursing).The psychological status,social support,and cognitive function of the two groups were compared.Results After the intervention,the scores of the Beck-Rafaelson Mania Scale(BRMS)and the Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)in both groups decreased,with the intervention group showing significantly lower scores than the control group(P<0.05).After the intervention,the scores of the Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS)in both groups increased,with the intervention group showing significantly higher scores than the control group(P<0.05).After the intervention,the scores of the Montreal Cognitive Assessment(MoCA)in both groups increased,with the intervention group showing significantly higher scores than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Implementing supportive psychotherapeutic nursing combined with empathetic care for patients with BAD can improve their psychological status and plays a significant role in enhancing social support and restoring cognitive function,making it worthy of application.
