Effects of Quality Nursing Care on Patients with Severe Cirrhosis Complicated by Upper Gastrointestinal Hemorrhage in the ICU
Objective To analyze the effects of quality nursing care on patients with severe cirrhosis complicated by upper gastrointestinal bleeding in the Intensive Care Unit(ICU).Methods A total of 74 patients with severe cirrhosis complicated by upper gastrointestinal bleeding admitted to Henan Provincial People's Hospital from April 2022 to April 2024 were selected for the study.Patients were randomly divided into a control group(conventional nursing)and an experimental group(quality nursing),with 37 patients in each group. The nursing outcomes between the two groups were compared. Results The average hemostatic time, average length of hospital stay, and amount of blood transfusion in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Before nursing intervention, there was no significant difference in self-management ability between the two groups(P>0.05);however,after nursing intervention, the self-management ability in the experimental group was significantly better than that in the control group(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in psychological resilience scores between the two groups before nursing intervention(P>0.05);after the intervention, all psychological resilience scores in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Before the intervention, there was no significant difference in quality of life scores between the two groups(P>0.05);post-intervention,the quality of life scores in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The satisfaction scores for nursing care in the experimental group were all higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of quality nursing care in ICU patients with severe cirrhosis complicated by upper gastrointestinal bleeding can yield favorable outcomes, improving clinical symptoms, reducing negative emotions, and accelerating patient recovery, indicating its clinical application value.
