At present,there are many studies on the word kuilei(傀儡),but there are still many problems.The article examines the origin of kuilei(傀儡)and its development in various eras,revealing that its etymology should be kuilei(魁壘),and the naming motivations is that things are like block,which confirms that it is a native word rather than a foreign word.Similarly,the kuilei(傀儡)drama is also a native drama.At the same time,this work explores the reasons why kuilei(傀儡)can survive over other word forms;and advocates strengthening the etymological study of social,historical and cultural words.
