承德话"等""等到"的多功能用法及其语法化

摘要

承德话中的"等"和"等到"与普通话不同,除充当时间介词、时间连词和条件连词外,还发展出了顺承连词和对比连词用法,充当话语标记;"等到"还可充当占位填充成分.这种共时表现与"等"和"等到"的语法化过程有关,它们各自由实义动词(短语)发展出介词和各种连词用法.

Abstract

Except for being temporal prepositions,temporal conjunctions and conditional conjunctions,deng(等)and dengdao(等到)in the Chengde(承德)dialect have developed into successive conjunctions and contrastive conjunctions and can serve as discourse markers,which is different from their uses in Mandarin Chinese;dengdao(等到)developed further into a filler.The uses ofdeng(等)and dengdao(等到)can be explained with the grammatica-lization of the two,developing from verb(phrase)into prepositions and conjunctions.
