Study on Particle Diffusion Characteristics of Dilute-phase Pneumatic Conveying Elbow
The partial flow characteristics of particles in the vertical pipe after flowing out of the elbow in the dilute-phase conveying system are studied.Repeated experiments are carried out on the self-built experimental platform, and the particle flow images of different pipe sections are collected.Combined with the numerical simulation method,a brand-new method(annular cutting method)is developed as an evaluation index of the uniform diffusion height. It is considered that the particle flow has spread to uniformity at h=5D,and the curves of cross-sectional pressure and particle velocity curves are given. The influence of changing gas velocity,bend-diameter ratio, particle diameter and particle length on the diffusion uniform height was discussed. The results show that the gas velocity had a linear negative correlation with the diffusion uniform height, while the diffusion uniform height is low and basically unaffected when the bend-diameter ratio is small, the particle diameter is large and the particle length is small.Further increasing the bend-diameter ratio would increase the diffusion uniform height linearly, while further decreasing the particle diameter or increasing the particle length would make the diffusion uniform height increase exponentially.
