Modeling and Experiment on Vertical Stiffness Characteristics of an Air Spring Vibration Isolator Prototype
Air spring vibration isolator is widely applied in vibration isolation systems for precision equipment, its stiffness-gravity equilibrium position relation(the stiffness characteristics)is critical for analyzing interactions with other developing vibration isolation techniques. The vertical stiffness characteristics model of an air spring isolator prototype is formulated based on the ideal gas law.The stiffness characteristics of the physical prototype are indirectly measured by combining results of overall vibration experiment and stiffness measurement of the sealing rubber film. The model is rectified utilizing experiment data, through power polynomial curve fitting of nonlinear chamber volume-gravity equilibrium position variation relation.Stiffness calculation error of the model is reduced and fundamental for further technical modification of the prototype is laid.
