Xi Jinping's thoughts on the rule of law demonstrate the traditional wisdom of the large country governance in many aspects.Methodologically,Xi Jinping specifically mentions the state-ment of Lao Tzu:Governing a big country is like cooking small fish.Observing the dialectics of the unity of logic and history,Xi adds to the ancient statement more connotation of the new era.In terms of legal logic,the traditional wisdom contained in the statement is deeply consistent with the modern concepts of the rule of law and constitutional spirit such as governance of the state by comprehensive rule of law,the principle of moderate ratio,and supervision over power.It ex-plains Xi's methodology of the rule of law from the dimensions of totality,collaboration and cy-bernetics.In terms of practical logic,the old statement has its methodological significance for comprehensively promoting the construction of democratic politics,market economy,harmonious society,advanced culture and ecological civilization on the track of the rule of law.
