Reflection and Prospect of the Research on Li Bai and Du Fu
Li Bai and Du Fu is Guo Moruo's last piece of work before death,which holds a dis-tinct viewpoint of"commending Li and belittling Du".Despite the different opinions at that time,some scholars then wrote articles without publishing and others kept their mouth shut.Since 1976,the book has been publicly questioned and criticized,with varying levels of quality.Since 1983,there have been studies analyzing the book from multiple perspectives,aiming to explore the clues behind Guo Moruo's writing of the book from a new perspective.After 2008,the aca-demic research on Guo Moruo gradually heated up,but there was a significant gap in the study of the book.For future researchers,the first priority is to grasp and evaluate the academic historical value and significance of the book from a comprehensive and developmental perspective.At the same time,a comprehensive examination should be conducted on the premise of studying Guo Moruo's academic achievements as a whole.
