History and Distortion of Feminism and China's Response
Feminism originated from the European Enlightenment and played an important role in promoting social progress in Europe and America.Since the second half of the 20th century,there has been a distortion of feminism in Europe and America,which has had an impact on China in recent years.From the current active pseudo feminism on the Chinese internet,it can be seen that it has lost the core of feminism and even become a preacher of neoliberalism.Pseudo femi-nism aims to attract attention by stirring up gender opposition,rejecting obligations,seeking benefits,and smearing China.Faced with the harm and impact caused by pseudo feminism,we should resolutely expose,oppose,and crack down on it.At the same time,standing in the his-torical position of the new era,it is necessary to continuously improve the socialist democratic system with Chinese characteristics.While implementing the national policy of gender equality and safeguarding women's rights,it is also necessary to fully provide women with the develop-mental space of great potential and achievements,and to give full play to the enthusiasm,initia-tive,and creativity of women in the new era.
