High spin states of 94Nb have been studied with the 82Se(18O,p5n)94Nb fusion evaporation reaction at beam en-ergy of 82 and 88 MeV.The experiment was performed at the HI-13 tandem accelerator of the China Institute of Atomic En-ergy.The previously reported level schemes of 94Nb have been extended and modified up to an excitation energy of 10.6 MeV and a spin and parity of 24(-)with 13 new γ-transitions.Based on DCO ratios and linear polarization measurements,spin-par-ity have been assiged up to the highest level observed.The level structures in 94Nb have been interpreted in terms of the shell model calculations performed in the configuration space π(1 f52,2p3/2,2p1/2,1g9/2)for the protons and v(2p1/2,1g9/2,1g7/2,2d52)for the neutrons,and the neutron proton excitation mechanism of 94Nb was discussed.
