Case teaching is based on the teaching content of cases in production,which promotes students to realize discussion and team cooperation among students through case analysis and improves the ability to solve problems.As the core course of animal science major,cattle production is a highly practical course.In the teaching process,cases in practice are introduced to enhance students'interest,realize the real theoretical knowledge infusion and improve comprehensive analysis ability of students.This paper firstly summarized the characteristics of case teaching,and took the course of cattle production as an example,analyzed the preparation and implementation process of case teaching,explored the application of case teaching in local universities,so as to improve the teaching quality and cultivate application-oriented talents in animal science major.
