Effect of Hepatic Antioxidant Capacity in Gossypol-induced Male Broilers
To study the effect of gossypol on liver antioxidant enzymes(SOD,MDA,T-AOC)in male broilers,48 male broilers were selected and randomly randomized into control group, low dose group, medium dose group, and high dose group. The control group was not treated, and the test group poured 20 mg/mL of cotton phenol diluted in distilled water according to the average body weight of the corresponding dose group every day.The test period was 3 weeks.Three chickens at 6,11,16,and 21 days after the effect of liver antioxidant enzymes, and the same dose on liver antioxidant enzymes, and the effect of gossypol on the liver morphology of male broilers was observed by liver pathological sections. The results showed that with the increase of gossypol dose, the content of liver MDA gradually increased, the content of liver SOD gradually decreased, and the content of T-AOC decreased, indicating that the antioxidant capacity of the liver decreased;some lesions occurred in the liver cells of male broilers in the low dose group, medium dose group and high dose group, indicating that gossypol caused damage to the liver.Giving 100 mg/kg can reduce the antioxidant capacity of the liver and cause damage to the liver.
