Nutritional Value of Wheat Straw Microstorage and Its Effect on Weight Gain of Fattening Sheep
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the nutritional value of wheat straw after microstorage and its effect on the weight gain of fattening sheep, and to provide theoretical basis for the full utilization of wheat straw resources. The nutritional value of wheat straw was evaluated by conventional nutrient determination after fermentation by adding complex bacterial enzyme preparation. The weight gain effect on fattening sheep was studied by feeding experiment. The results showed that the crude protein and ash content of wheat straw were increased by 1.18%and 2.82%,respectively.Dry matter and crude fiber decreased by 0.79%and 7.38%compared with untreated wheat straw, respectively.Under the same feeding conditions, the experimental sheep were fattened with wheat straw microstorage and concentrate for 60 days, and the weight of Duolang sheep and goats increased by 10.5 kg/sheep and 8.63 kg/goat,which was 2.58 kg/sheep and 2.26 kg/goat more than that of wheat straw and concentrate Duolang sheep. It is concluded that wheat straw can effectively improve its nutritional value, improve the weight gain of fattening sheep and increase breeding efficiency after fermentation with complex bacterial enzyme preparation.
