Effects of Grazing on the Health and Species Diversity of Grasslands in the Two-river Source Pastoral Areas
The aim of this experiment is to provide a basis and reference for the restoration and management of pasture grasslands by assessing the health and diversity of grassland ecosystems before and after grazing in the Two-river headwater pastures. In this study, six grasslands in the Two-river Source were sampled and the health of grassland ecosystems in the Two Rivers headwater rangelands was comprehensively assessed using the VOR comprehensive assessment model and the Margalef Index,Simpson Index,Shannon-Wiener Index and Alatalo Index of species diversity determination. The results showed that grazing affects the richness, diversity and dominance of grassland ecosystems, but does not affect the health of grasslands, and that the grazing intensity in the Two-river Source pastoral areas is within the range of reasonable grazing.
