Prevention and Control of Organophosphorus Pesticide Poisoning in Bovine after Cure
In order to prevent and control the recurrence of chronic cumulative poisoning in bovine after being cured of organophosphorus pesticide poisoning.From 2012 to 2022,Wangjiazhuang street 221 bovine cured of organophosphorus pesticide poisoning were detoxicated with a preventive dose of proxime iodide every 7 to 10 days,and continued to be used for 1 month after the end of the local season of frequent use of organophosphorus pesticide.Results:In 221 cured bovine,no repeat poisoning occurred within 3 months.From 2005 to 2011,172 cases were successfully treated in Wangjiazhuang,31 cases of repeated poisoning,recurrence rate of 18%;In the same period,32 cases were cured in Hejia village,nearby Mahe Town,7 cases of repeated poisoning,and the recurrence rate was 21.9%.It is concluded that in the areas where organophosphorus pesticides are used frequently and there are many cases of organophosphorus pesticide poisoning in bovine,intermittent use of prophylactic amount of phosphonidoxime iodide after cure can effectively avoid the occurrence of repoisoning and eliminate the chronic accumulation of organophosphorus pesticides in the body.
