Establishment and Effect Evaluation of a Simple Method for Selecting Aleutian Virus-positive Mink
The purpose of virus-resistant breeding was achieved by screening resistant mink from Aleutian virus-positive mink.In the first year, the unhealthy mink was directly eliminated through clinical observation. In the second year,in addition to the elimination of mink with unhealthy clinical manifestations, blood was collected from the tip of the toe,and the proportion of plasma eliminated was higher than 50%mink.In the third year,in addition to the method of the second year, the value of total protein in plasma was determined by serum refractometer, and the proportion of 35%was eliminated from high to low. After comparing different selection methods in three years, testing and eliminating them year by year, after screening the proportion of red blood cells and plasma and testing by serum refractometer, the litter size of mink is close to that of Aleutian virus-negative mink, and this method can be used to screen out the Aleutian virus-resistant mink population year by year, increase the litter size and reduce the loss of the farm.
