Effects of Different Plant Protein Sources Replacing Fish Meal on the Growth and Immunity of Mylopharyngodon piceus
This experiment focused on feed innovation methods for Mylopharyngodon piceus by applying different plant protein sources to replace fishmeal on growth performance, whole fish and muscle chemical composition, and intestinal and hepatopancreatic enzyme activities of cyprinids.Soybean meal SBM,vegetable meal RSM,cotton meal CSM,and peanut meal PM were substituted for 10%of fishmeal FM(CP,67%)in the test feeds to formulate five groups of isonitrogenous and isoenergetic test feeds, which were recorded as FM,SBM,RSM,CSM,and PM,respectively.Fishmeal, soybean meal, vegetable meal, cotton meal, and peanut meal were used as the main protein sources formulated according to the same ingredient contents to formulate the diets with crude protein(39.34%)and crude fat(6.81%)of the mackerel compound feeds, and this was used as a control group for the experiment. The results of this study showed that soybean meal is more suitable for inclusion in the feed than other plant protein sources, and it is ideal to replace less than 10%of fishmeal in the experimental feed with soybean meal.
