Surveillance and Analysis of Cattle Brucellosis in Yinbei Rural Area of Ningxia
In order to investigate the epidemiology of cattle Brucellosis in Yinbei area of Ningxia, the experiment was conducted in 9 villages that 20 unvaccinated cattle farms were randomly selected, collecting 20 blood samples from each farm totaling 400 samples.Rose Bengal Plate Test(RBPT)and competitive enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(cELISA)were used to detect the antibody of cattle serum samples.Real time quantitative PCR(RT-qPCR)was used to detect seropositive samples. The samples with positive qPCR results were further amplified and typed using AMOS-PCR method. The results showed that the overall seroprevalence was 23.5%and 27.5%by RBPT and cELISA and the Kappa value was 0.816 between the two detection methods, indicating good consistency. And the average positive rates of RBPT and cELISA detection in the population were 60%and 65%,respectively.Only 5 serum samples were detected positive by qPCR and were identified as Brucella abortus by AMOS-PCR.In conclusion,Brucella abortus is the main pathogen causing brucellosis in this area. This study provided epidemiological basis for the control and prevention of Brucella infection in the Yinbei area of Ningxia.By investigating the epidemiological situation of cattle brucellosis in Yinbei rural area of Ningxia,it showed that cattle brucellosis in this area had a high prevalence rate, and Brucella abortus is the main pathogen causing cattle brucellosis, which provided epidemiologic basis for controlling and preventing brucellosis in Yinbei rural area of Ningxia.
