Laboratory Investigation on the Prevalence of Major Diseases in Some Large-scale Dairy Farms in Northern Xinjiang
In order to effectively evaluate the epidemic situation and control effect of common diseases in large-scale dairy farms in northern Xinjiang, serum samples of 446 dairy cows were collected from 4 large-scale dairy farms in northern Xinjiang, the serum antibodies against foot-and-mouth disease type O and viral diarrhea and Brucellosis infection were detected by liquid-phase blocking Elisa,Tiger Red agglutination test and competitive Elisa. The results showed that the qualified rate of immune antibody to type O FMD,BVD and brucellosis was 99.78%,84.53%and 0 respectively. In this study, the prevention and control of foot-and-mouth disease and Brucellosis disease in large-scale farms in northern Xinjiang have achieved good results, and the immune antibody level is higher than 70%of that stipulated by the Ministry of Agriculture and rural areas of our country.Although the qualified rate of BVD antibody in dairy cows was higher than the national standard, the viral diarrhea of dairy cows occurred from time to time in production practice,in addition to strengthening vaccine immunization, farmers should also pay attention to the cleaning and disinfection of the farming environment.
