The Domestication and Selection of Native Ecological Grass Species(Kengyilia thoroldiana)in an Alpine Steppe in Northern Xizang
The special landform creates the landscape of Alpine meadow with large regional differences.The domestication,cultivation,propagation and seed production of native forage species in Xizang are lagging behind.In this harsh natural environment,these things limit the development of ecological restoration of grassland and sustainable green grassland industry.Hence,it is necessary to develop ecological restoration and reconstruction of natural grassland,based on the domestication and selection of native ecological grass species.As an excellent grass seed for ecological restoration in northern Xizang Plateau,Kengyilia can withstand drought and cold and resist wind and sand.In this study,we reviewed the researches about Kengyilia and discussed the application prospect of it in ecological restoration in the future.
