Theileriosis is a common parasitic disease with local epidemic and tick-borne characteristics,which is harmful to the cattle and sheep farming industry in some counties and cities of Gannan prefecture.Through systematic epidemiological investigation and blood smear microscopy in the epidemic area,the infections and epidemiological patterns of theileriosis in cattle and sheep were identified and mastered.This article discusses the pathogenic characteristics,clinical symptoms,diagnosis,prevention and treatment of theileriosis in cattle and sheep,aiming to guide farmers to establish a comprehensive prevention and control plan for theileriosis based on the local breeding characteristics,and effectively reduce the morbidity and mortality of the disease.
