Study on Species Identification Based on DNA Analysis of Food Stains
Based on the principle that environmental DNA provided by saliva deposition containing a small amount of cheek cells in the biting sites of plants can be used for species identification, this study verified species-specific mitochondrial DNA primers by using the extraction and PCR procedures of the browser species diagnostic kit. This experiment identified the species by the combination of fragment size and fluorescent clusters, and used PCR to optimize the products and low-volume DNA polymerase chain reaction to reduce the possibility of false positives. Results shows that after sampling data comparison, the samples was accurately paired with Cervus elaphus(>95%).
