There is a common infection of caprine parainfluenza virus type 3(CPIV3)in goat herds,which seriously endangers the healthy development of the sheep farming industry.This article briefly introduces the clinical manifestations,epidemiology,etiology,pathogenicity,diagnostic techniques,vaccine development,and prevention and control technologies of CPIV3.Research has shown that developing safe and effective vaccines is an effective means of controlling CPIV3,which is of great significance for preventing respiratory diseases caused by CPIV3.
