Epidemic Risk Factors and Prevention and Control Measures of Goat Brucellosis
Brucellosis, alongside AIDS,rabies, and tuberculosis,is considered one of the"Four Major Zoonotic Diseases".This disease can lead to reduced reproductive capacity and even infertility and miscarriage in infected animals. The primary hosts of brucellosis are goats, sheep, and cattle, with humans also being significant targets for infection. In recent years, the incidence of this disease has been increasing annually, causing serious economic losses to goat farming in China.Understanding the epidemiological characteristics and prevention and control measures of goat brucellosis is crucial in reducing its impact. This paper focuses on the epidemiological characteristics, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, and prevention and treatment of goat brucellosis, aiming to provide guidance for reducing the harm of brucellosis to goat farming.
