The Effect of Plant Essential Oils on the Production Performance of AA+Broiler Chickens
This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of different doses of coated plant essential oil on the production performance of broilers.A total of 1 350 healthy 0-day-old AA broilers were randomly divided into 3 groups with 3 replicates per group and 150 broilers per replicate. The test group 1(basal diet+50 g/t coated plant essential oil),the test group 2(basal diet+100 g/t coated plant essential oil),and the test group 3 were the control group(fed basal diet). The test period was 56 days.During the trial, broilers developed proventriculitis and Newcastle disease. The results showed that compared with the control group, the average daily gain and average daily feed intake of AA broilers in the experimental group 1 and the experimental group 2 were significantly increased at each stage.During the whole test period, the average daily gain of test group 1 and test group 2 increased by 26.30%and 35%respectively compared with the control group(P<0.05).The average daily feed intake of the experimental group 2 was significantly increased by 8.14%compared with the control group. The coated plant essential oil could significantly increase the survival rate of broilers by 3.91%(P<0.05),and could significantly increase the slaughter weight of broilers by 968 g(P<0.05),The average profit of each broilers in the experimental 2 groups was 0.42 yuan.In the control group, the average loss of each chicken was 7.3 yuan.To use the plant essential oil in the feed, the economic benefit is obvious.
