In order to scientifically evaluate the results of mandatory immunization against foot-and-mouth disease in cattle and sheep under different breeding methods in Urumqi County, the comprehensive levels of foot-and-mouth disease antibodies in 1 104 bovine serum and 1 211 sheep serum collected from large-scale farms and livestock free range households in six townships of the county in 2022 were analyzed and tested. The results showed that the overall pass rates of immune antibodies against foot-and-mouth disease in cattle and sheep in Urumqi County were 83%and 70%,respectively.Meets the antibody qualification standard set by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs(≥70%),but the overall immunization effect of large-scale breeding farms is lower than that of free range farmers, and the sheep antibody qualification rate of large-scale breeding farms and individual townships does not meet the standard. The results indicate that although the overall immune effect of foot-and-mouth disease in cattle and sheep in Urumqi County is good, the mandatory immunization of sheep still needs to be strengthened.
