Research Progress on the Application of Herbal Additives in Dairy Production
Chinese herbs are rich in nutrients and medicinal components,all of which have the properties of promoting the absorption of nutrients,improving the immunity of livestock and poultry,regulating the balance of the gastrointestinal tract,antibacterial and antioxidant properties.With the strong support from the agricultural sector to develop alternative products to antibiotics,herbs can be used as alternative antibiotic products because they are less resistant,cost-effective,and have no drug residues.In this paper,the biological functions of Chinese herbs and their applications in dairy cattle production are summarized,with a view to providing references for future related research.
