Effect of Different Early Weaned Day on Histomorphometric Development of Small Intestine for Confined Lambs
The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of early weaned on histomorphometric development of small intestine for confined lambs.Fifty-five male lambs(small tail han sheep and dorset sheep)were divided into 3 treatments. The crypt depth, villus height and V/C were measured. The results showed that weaning at 28 days had a greater effect on small intestinal histomorphologic indexes than that at 42 days, but its recovery ability was stronger(recovery began at 7 days after weaning).Duodenal villus height and crypt depth of weaning group at 28 days after weaning continued were decreased significantly. The indexes of the 42-day-old weaning group also were decreased with the days after weaning, but the decrease was small. From the proximal end of small intestine to the distal end of small intestine, the effect of weaning on small intestine histomorphologic indexes was weaker. The results indicated that the different weaning age of the lambs in the house feeding had a certain effect on the small intestinal histomorphologic indexes. The recovery ability of small intestinal histomorphologic index of 28-day-old weaned lambs was stronger than the 42-day-old of weaned lambs.
