Analysis of Reproductive Performance of Binary Hybrid Sows in Large-scale Pig Farms
The reproductive rate of binary hybrid sows in large-scale pig farms is an important prerequisite factor affecting the production efficiency of commercial farms. In order to analyze the factors affecting the reproductive performance of binary hybrid sows, based on the annual reproductive production record data of binary hybrid sows in a certain large-scale pig farm in 2023,this study sorted and analyzed from two aspects:age(parity)and breeding season, aiming to grasp the important factors affecting the reproduction of binary hybrid sows and provide a basis for the scientific management of binary sows in commercial farms. The results showed that there was a significant difference(P<0.01)in the impact of parity on the litter performance of sows, showing an upward trend from the 3rd to the 6th litter, with the best litter performance at the 4th litter and a significant decrease at the 7th litter. The impact of litter month on sow litter performance is not significant, but with the improvement of feeding management level, the impact of litter month on sows gradually decreases. The conclusion is that large-scale pig farms can adjust the age structure of pig herds based on the litter size of sows at the 4th litter, increase the proportion of sows at the 3rd to 6th litter, timely eliminate low yielding sows, and update pig herds.
