Application Effect of Fermented Astragalus Stems and Leaves on Feeding Meat Sheep
In order to investigate the application effect of fermented Astragalus membranaceus stems and leaves on feeding meat sheep, the selected Astragalus membranaceus stems and leaves were crushed and mixed with soybean flour, wheat bran, corn flour, and Bacillus amyloliquefaciens for fermentation, replacing 50%of the crude feed to feed meat sheep. The cost of crude feed was reduced from 360 yuan/t to 340 yuan/t,and the feed cost was reduced by 20 yuan/t,a decrease of 5.56%;After feeding 356 small tailed Han sheep for 90 days, the average daily weight gain of the experimental group increased by 0.02 kg compared to the control group,an increase of 8.7%.The difference between the experimental group and the control group was extremely significant(P<0.01);During the whole test period, the incidence rate of sheep in the test group and the incidence rate of sheep in the control group decreased by 6.74%;The net income of the experimental group sheep was 36.55 yuan/sheep more than that of the control group sheep, increasing economic benefits by 10.53%.Feeding fermented Astragalus membranaceus stems and leaves to meat sheep can reduce feed costs, improve feed utilization efficiency, increase weight gain, and enhance the immune system of meat sheep.
