Sheep Manure Treatment Methods and Their Respective Advantages
With the rapid development of China's sheep farming industry towards scale and intensification, the pollution problem of livestock and poultry farming has become increasingly prominent, causing serious harm to the natural ecological environment and hindering the healthy, green, and sustainable development of the sheep farming industry to a certain extent. In the feces excreted by sheep, the contents of organic matter and nitrogen are 24%~27%and 0.7%~0.8%,respectively,while the contents of phosphorus and potassium are 0.45%~0.6%and 0.3%~0.6%,respectively.Compared with the excrement of other livestock and poultry, sheep manure has a higher content of organic matter, which can provide more nutrients for crops. However, during use,due to its high heat content,if not scientifically treated,it is prone to root burning. This article analyzes the current situation of fecal treatment in the sheep farming industry in Gansu Province,a major sheep farming province, and summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of commonly used fecal treatment methods. The aim is to provide reference for reasonable fecal treatment for farmers, protect the ecological environment, and promote the healthy and sustainable development of the local sheep farming industry.
