A Case Report of the Diagnosis and Treatment of Chicken Infected with Raillietina sp.and Eimeria Tenella
Taeniasis of chicken is a common parasitic disease,mainly caused by tapeworms of cowpea family,Tetracornis,Taeniasis and cyclosoma,which parasiticate the intestinal tract of poultry.The main causes of diarrhea,weight loss,growth retardation,decreased egg production,intestinal obstruction and other clinical symptoms;Chicken coccidiosis is a common and serious protozoan disease caused by several Eimeria parasite chicken intestinal epithelial cells.Its main clinical symptoms are pale fleshy beard,loss of appetite,dysentery,bleeding stool and weight loss.Both insects can infect chickens of all ages,but they mainly harm chicks,and adult chickens are generally recessive infection without obvious clinical symptoms.Both insects can cause disease independently and seriously affect the growth and development of chicks,but chicken coccidiosis is more harmful than chicken tapeworm disease.In addition,both chicken tapeworm disease and chicken coccidiosis are worldwide,causing economic losses to the global poultry industry.In the course of this diagnosis and treatment,combined with clinical symptoms,pathological anatomy and laboratory examination results,the disease was confirmed as a mixed infection of tapeworm and coccidia.On this basis,albendazole+aminoproline was used to dewormer chickens,and good results were obtained.
