A Case of the Diagnosis and Treatment of Tibetan Pig Infection with Epidemic Encephalitis B
Encephalitis, also know as Japanese encephalitis and epidemic encephalitis B,is an acute, natural foci zoonotic and vector borne diseases that is caused by epidemic encephalitis B virus spread via mosquitos.Encephalitis is worldwide distribution and widely scatters in many countries and regions of the world, but most of them is endemic. This disease is transmitted mainly via mosquitos biting hosts, thus the morbidity of Epidemic encephalitis B has obvious seasonality.Once infection, the sick pigs usually show a series of clinical symptoms, including rising temperature, miscarriage, stillbirth, testicular swelling and neurological symptoms. If the infected pig was treat untimely or inappropriate,Encephalitis will lead number of sick pigs to death, bringing tremendous economic losses to farmer. Moreover, this disease also infects man by mosquitos biting people, and it can mutual diffuseness and cross transmission between man and animal and different animals, seriously threats to human and animal health, and greatly hinders the healthy development of global aquaculture industry and public health. In the process of this diagnosis and treatment,we combined the clinical symptoms shown by sick pigs and PCR technique to confirm the pathogenic agents of this disease to be epidemic encephalitis B virus, and to diagnose this disease being Tibetan Pig's Encephalitis.Based on marking a definite diagnosis,we used Sodium sulfadiazine+Cefuroxime sodium to treat the sick pigs, acquiring good treatment effects after a week.
