Application of Chinese Herbal Feed Additives to Control Piglet Diarrhea
Piglet diarrhea refers to piglet in the growth and development process due to digestive function is not perfect,especially in the 3～5 d after birth,digestive organs are not fully developed,intestinal function is not perfect,low immunity,vulnerable to bacteria,viruses,mycotoxins and other pathogenic factors invasion and diarrhea.Piglet diarrhea not only prevents the growth of the piglet,reduces the utilization rate of feed,and even causes death,but also causes the loss of nutrients in the piglet,causing malnutrition,decreased disease resistance and various vitamin and mineral deficiencies,which seriously affects the growth and development and production performance of the piglet.At the same time,the breeding performance and product quality of breeding pigs were also affected.At present,although antibiotics have been widely used in pig farms in China to prevent and control piglet diarrhea,due to the abuse of antibiotics and environmental pollution and other factors,their resistance is increasing.Therefore,it is urgent to find new prevention and control measures.
