Epidemiological Investigation and Analysis of Major Viral Diseases in Raccoon Dogs in Changli Area of Qinhuangdao City
In order to understand the prevalence of major viral diseases in raccoon dogs in Changli area,Qinhuangdao city,a total of 981 diseased tissue samples were collected from 2022-2024.Colloidal gold test strips were used to detect four pathogens,including canine distemper,parvovirus,coronavirus,and Aleutian virus.The total positive rates of Canine distemper,Parvovirus,Coronavirus,and Aleutian virus in the collected disease tissue samples were 8.6%,7.2%,9.1%,and 8.0%,respectively.The positive rates of canine distemper virus and parvovirus showed a decreasing trend year by year,while the positive rates of coronavirus and Aleutian virus showed an increasing trend year by year.The results indicate that four major viral diseases,are prevalent in the large-scale and free range breeding of raccoon dogs in the region.Among them,coronavirus and Aleutian virus are showing an increasing trend year by year,and comprehensive prevention and control measures should be taken.
