In order to provide research support for the scientific research and breeding of Bashan local chickens,an analysis was conducted on Bashan local chickens body size and slaughter performance.In this experiment,30 male and 30 female Bashan local chickens aged 130 days,185 days,230 days,and 245 days were randomly selected from a Bashan local chicken breeding farm in Nanjiang.They were divided into an experimental group(free range+supplementary feeding)and a control group(free range feeding).Research has shown that the chest depth of the 185 d experimental group of Bashan local roosters is significantly higher than that of the control group(P＜0.01).The carcass quality of Bashan local roosters in the 130 d experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P＜0.01);The carcass quality of Bashan local chickens in the 185 d experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P＜0.01);The semi clean bore weight of Bashan local chickens in the 245 d experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P＜0.05).The egg weight of the 185 d and 245 d experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P＜0.01).This provides a strong theoretical basis for the later breeding of Bashan local chickens.
