Discussion on Techniques and Strategies for Perennial Forage Cultivation in the High-Cold Region of Nima County,Xizang
Located in the high-cold region of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau,Nima County faces severe challenges for perennial grass cultivation due to its high altitude, barren soil, and harsh climate characterized by long, frigid winters and short, cool summers with low and concentrated precipitation. This paper aims to improve the growth quality and yield of perennial grasses, ensuring the sustainability of grass cultivation, through targeted research on grass planting techniques. It discusses the main issues in grass cultivation in high-cold regions, such as low seed germination rates, slow growth, and frequent occurrence of diseases and pests. It also proposes corresponding technical measures and solutions around the unique environmental factors of cold, poor soil fertility, and high altitude.Specific measures include soil structure improvement, selection of grass varieties with strong adaptability, optimization of sowing time and methods, and strengthening of disease and pest control.Suggestions for improving grass planting efficiency through agricultural mechanization and technological means are also provided, with the aim of significantly enhancing the success rate and economic benefits of grass cultivation in the high-cold region of Nima County, and promoting the development of local animal husbandry.
