Canine pyometra is a common genital disorder,which refers to cystic hyperplasia of the endometrium,and the cystic structure of the endometrium is infected by bacteria,producing a large amount of purulent secretions and accumulating in the uterine cavity,often occurs after the luteal phase of the estrus cycle.According to statistics,the disease mainly affects intact reproductive female dogs around 6~10 years old.Pyometra can be classified as open cervix or close cervix pyometra.The clinical signs of pyometra are often nonspecific,so it is easy to ignore.Early recognition,diagnosis,and treatment of pyometra are necessary to avoid any serious consequences such as death of patient due to septicemia and toxaemia.Through the diagnosis and treatment of a case of open cervix pyometra in dogs,it can provide reference for this disease.
