Comparison of Fattening Effects of Different Improved Generations of Simmental Bulls
To compare the fattening effects of different improved generations of Simmental bulls. The 30 Simmental bulls were selected as the research subjects and divided into hybrid F1 group, hybrid F2 group, and hybrid F3 group, with 10 bulls in each group. The experimental period was 115 days. The feed to weight ratio of the hybrid F3 group were significantly lower than those of the hybrid F1 and F2 groups(P<0.05);The average daily weight gain of the hybrid F3 group was slightly higher than that of the hybrid F1 and F2 groups, but the difference was not significant(P>0.05).The height and chest circumference of the hybrid F3 group were significantly lower than those of the hybrid F1 and F2 groups(P<0.05);The cross height of the hybrid F3 group was significantly higher than that of the hybrid F1 group(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference compared to the hybrid F2 group(P>0.05);The oblique length of the hybrid F3 group was significantly longer than that of the hybrid F2 group(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference compared to the hybrid F1 group(P>0.05).The daily weight gain value and benefits of the hybrid F3 group were significantly higher than those of the hybrid F1 and F2 groups(P<0.05).Hybrid improvement of F3 generation Simmental bulls has a better fattening effect, which provides a reference basis for genetic breeding and improving growth properties of Simmental bulls in the future.
